WI Sports Mississauga power past Telugu Cricket Club Canada by seven wickets

Dimitri Ramjattan’s unbeaten 59 from 23 balls completed an explosive chase after a collective bowling effort.

WI Sports Mississauga produced a dominant seven-wicket victory over Telugu Cricket Club Canada, dismissing the opposition for 142 before racing to 143 for three in only 13.4 overs.

Captain Sandeep Prabha Sudha led the wicket-taking with three for 31. Darrius Batoosingh took two for 20, and Dimitri Ramjattan returned an excellent two for 15 from four overs.

Shrey Arora, Gursimran Singh and Nikhil Nair added one wicket each. The fielding was outstanding: Rishab Sharma held three catches, while Gursimran and Dimitri took two apiece. Darrius and Sandeep also completed catches.

Faisal Ansari attacked the chase with 53 from 27 balls, striking five fours and four sixes at a strike rate above 196. His innings pushed WI Sports beyond 100 in the 11th over.

Dimitri then delivered the decisive acceleration, finishing unbeaten on 59 from only 23 balls. His three fours and five sixes produced a strike rate of 256.52 and removed any remaining pressure from the chase.

Hayat Ansari contributed 16 from 14 balls, including a six, while Darrius remained unbeaten alongside Dimitri when the winning runs were completed.

WI Sports Mississauga reached the target with 38 balls unused, completing a comprehensive performance built on shared wickets, sharp catching and two powerful half-centuries.
