WI Sports Brampton produced a composed chase to defeat Thunder Strikers by four wickets at Gore Meadows. After restricting the opposition to 145 for nine, Brampton reached 146 for six in 19 overs.
Khushbir Singh led the bowling effort with three wickets for only 16 runs from four overs. His spell included 16 dot balls and gave WI Sports control during the first half of the innings.
Shubham Kumar took two wickets for 25, while Manjeet Saini returned an excellent two for 13 from three overs. Akhil Kumar added another wicket as the Brampton fielders maintained pressure around the boundary and in the circle.
The chase began with two early wickets, but captain Priyanshu Verma steadied the innings and remained unbeaten on 60 from 50 balls. His six fours and one six provided the backbone of the reply.
Ishan Khanna supported the captain with 24 from 30 balls before Rishab Sharma accelerated with 18 from 12. Malkeet added 12 from 11, and Manjeet Saini struck two fours in a rapid 11 from five balls.
Priyanshu stayed at the crease through every setback and, with Akhil Kumar unbeaten at the other end, guided WI Sports Brampton across the line with six balls remaining.
The victory reflected a complete team performance: economical wicket-taking spells, committed fielding and a captain’s innings under the pressure of a demanding chase.
