WI Sports Brampton shared the points with Cosmic Sports Club after a dramatic tie at Gore Meadows. Brampton restricted the opposition to 150 for nine and then finished on exactly 150 for eight from its 20 overs.
Manjeet Saini led the bowling attack with three wickets for 19 runs from four overs. His controlled spell included 11 dot balls and helped Brampton limit the scoring during the closing stages.
Ishan Khanna took two wickets for 29, while Akhil Kumar, Shrey Arora and Khushbir Singh claimed one wicket each. Mohdeep Singh completed a run-out from behind the stumps as Brampton collected nine wickets in the innings.
The chase started under pressure, but Mohdeep Singh counterattacked with 14 from seven balls, including three fours. Ishan Khanna then rebuilt the innings with 41 from 34 deliveries.
Malkeet added 39 from 37 balls and combined with Ishan to take the score from 47 for four to 110 for five. Their partnership brought WI Sports Brampton firmly back into the contest.
Manjeet Saini remained unbeaten on 12 and carried the chase into the final over. Gursahil Singh joined him for the last delivery as Brampton reached 150, leaving the scores level after 40 overs of cricket.
Although the winning run did not arrive, the recovery from early wickets demonstrated Brampton’s resilience and ability to stay composed deep into a close PCL contest.
